Other Discovery Tours

I can accommodate tours and travel to other areas outside the geographical region of the Cotswolds on request. Perhaps we can combine the two and I am happy to manage and plan this for you.

There are some unmissable places to visit near the Cotswolds such as Stratford Upon Avon, a medieval market town and the birthplace of William Shakespeare. It is quite possible to incorporate a visit to Stratford Upon Avon within a tour of parts of the North Cotswolds region.

To the east we can visit Blenheim Palace and Bladon. Birthplace and resting place of Sir Winston Churchill or travel to the city of Oxford home of the oldest university in the English-speaking world and as the Victorian poet Matthew Arnold described it ‘the city of dreaming spires’ after the stunning architecture of the university buildings.

To the South we could visit Stonehenge an historical landmark, a UNESCO world heritage site and the most architecturally sophisticated surviving stone circle in the world. The landscape around Stonehenge is still revealing treasures of the past to this day.  North of Stonehenge and closer to The Cotswolds is Avebury. One of the other marvels of prehistoric Britain. Built during the Neolithic period and survives as a huge circular bank and ditch. Within the henge is the largest stone circle in Britain. Managed by English Heritage and free to visit. It’s a fascinating place to visit as is Silbury Hill just a short distance away.
